What is Teacher Training?

Knole Academy offer two Teacher Training Routes.  An Apprenticeship route or the School Choice route.

Apprenticeship route is for our core subjects only and our School Choice route, which is a non-salaried route, is for all other subjects.  Bursaries are available through DFE.

Our Teacher Training provider is the University of Sussex in conjunction with the University of Chichester.

As part of our Teacher Training routes you will work here or in one of our partnership schools as an unqualified teacher.  You will undertake entirely ‘on the job’ training, allowing you to gain the qualifications and practical skills required to become a teacher.  You will learn alongside inspiring, passionate teachers with outstanding pedagogical skills.  We will train you to become a successful confident, effective teacher, well equipped to teach in a dynamic and vibrant school.

All applications must be made via the DFE website.
