Dress to Impress
Students have also played a part in the design of the academy’s new-look uniforms. Styled in shades of grey with green trims, the uniforms are both attractive and practical.
Students shape our New Identity
Students have been involved in the design of the academy’s brand-new and distinctive logo, spending time at the studios of our professional design agency, Cleverbox, in Bromley.
Expanding our Sixth Form
Our post-16 provision will be growing – in more ways than one! As well as increasing the number of sixth form students to up to 350, we’ll be expanding the range of courses on offer.
Knole Academy Gears up for Opening
Since the funding agreement for our new academy was signed by Ed Balls – former Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families – back in January, it’s been ‘full steam ahead’ for Knole Academy.
An inspirational curriculum
Throughout years 7 to 11, the academy will provide full coverage of the core subjects of the National Curriculum (English, Science and Maths). Learning will be developed with the extensive use of ICT and problem solving. Students will follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
Welcome
As we make the final preparations before opening our doors as the brand-new Knole Academy on 3 September, this is an incredibly exciting time for students and staff.
Admissions Update
Boys and girls of all abilities from the local area will be able to apply for entry to Knole Academy. Our published admissions number will normally be 240, although we are oversubscribed for September 2010 and have offered a total of 266 places – 150 to girls and 116 to boys.
