Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Success

Over the weekend of the 12-14 May, this year's Knole Academy Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award participants completed their Bronze Expedition section of their award and once the presentation of their expedition aim has been completed they will have completed their Bronze Award.

It was a tough weekend for the young people, with weather ranging from temperatures seen at the height of summer to cold and heavy rain!

The Expedition Assessors who 'grade' the young people over the expedition were full of compliments of their dedication, positive attitude to the challenge and teamwork, as well as highlighting the quality of the level of training they had received. We are pleased to say every team passed.  The Duke of Edinburgh staff team, comprising the Leaders Miss Nimmo, Miss O'Reilly, Mrs Slade, Mr Ereaut as well as Mr Massey and myself, are all very proud of the young people and their achievements.

This achievement, from the 40 Year 10 students, builds on the success Knole Academy has had on previous years and the DofE award programme at Knole Academy continues to go from strength to strength.  We all look forward to building on this in the years to come.
