Sixth Form Summer Ball
On the evening of Thursday 19th June the venue at Birchwood Golf Club was beautifully adorned and the weather was set fair for the annual Knole Academy Summer Ball. The Sixth Form were dressed to the nines, with both staff and students excited to celebrate the end of a wonderfully productive seven years together.
The evening was a great success with the comedy photo both and sweet stall proving to be hits! With a DJ getting the dance floor going and a photographer to capture the special occasion, the students enjoyed their last hurrah before the vast majority continue their adventure at university. Head Girl Isabelle Austin worked tirelessly to organise the ‘social event of the year’ and her efforts truly paid off.
Staff and students had a wonderful time reflecting upon their journey over the years. The latest data analysis predicts that this year’s cohort of students will be the most academically successful in the history of Knole Academy. Russell Turner, Assistant Principal with responsibility for Sixth Form, spoke of, “a wonderful relationship between students, staff and parents facilitating a learning journey that has been memorable for all of the right reasons.”
Sixth Form student Victoria Palmer, confident that she will attain the entry requirements to study Business & Human Resource Management at Portsmouth University, commented, “The aspirations have been high and challenging but it has all been worth it. I am so excited about moving away from home to start my under-graduate course. I will miss everyone so much, but the road ahead looks amazing.”
We wish all of our Sixth Form students the best of luck with their exams, and would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2014 Knole Academy Summer Ball such a success.
